Dog Heroes of September 11th

Raven attended K-9 Specialty Search Associates' Intermediate Cadaver class in Chico, CA in April 2008.  The class was an incredible opportunity to work more advanced problems taught by fantastic instructors and meet other good handlers & dogs from across the US.  Below are some pictures of Raven working taken by other handlers attending the class who were generous to share the images.

Here is a video clip (large .mpg file) of an exercise to teach handlers to listen to the dog's breathing change when in odor.  The handlers were told to keep their eyes shut and search the room.  The dogs were a bit confused but as you will see, Raven locates the target odor in the cabinet then lays down as the handler tries to figure out why the lead went limp and the dog quiet.
