Dog Heroes of September 11th

A fellow USAR K9 handler building custom dog crates for other handlers...

Sam Balsam of Performance Designs can create a custom steel (or aluminum) dog crate/cage/box for you based on your vehicle and any specific design requests.  He also builds custom vehicle sliding drawer storage systems.  Below are a few examples of his work.  He has done side by side cages, side by side drawers or single units of both as well as combinations.  Side by side crates can have a removable divider panel.  Steel cages are powdered coated and have locking T-handles.  All work is excellent quality and built for your specific needs.

Contact Sam for details or ordering: 301-748-9082 or email him at PerformDesigns@aol.com. Please visit Sam's website for more information on his custom cages and drawer systems: http://www.performancedesigns.biz/

I wanted a chute style cage so I could house all my dogs in two separate cages (with a removable divider so it could be one large cage) and a rear cage door that would open without having to crawl in the truck bed.  Sam designed the sliding rear door on rollers using a rod to open and close the cage.  I also wanted a lockable full bed depth sliding drawer system.  This system leaves half the bed for hauling other items when needed such as a bark barrel or if I needed to haul another dog, another standard 24" wide cage fits beside the chute.
