Dog Heroes of September 11th

Another search in 2009 gives additional insights to what the dogs work in while on real missions...in dangerous high, narrow areas, thick woods with briars, animal distractions, dark abandoned buildings, old buildings which have already partially collapsed, steep cliffs, debris fields, sharp objects, along roads, etc.  This structure was an old school that from the outside looked mostly standing but inside as we opened each door, the center of the rooms had collapsed...some of the 3rd floor was even all the way into the basement.  A very hazardous situation unless the handler and dog have been trained and have experience in collapse structures.
